I did an organization session once in a home with two cats. As soon as we cleared some clutter off of the floor, one of the cats spread out on the empty spot, looking happier than ever.
It’s interesting to see how animals are affected, of course, but kids often feel it more than anything.
Clutter can be emotionally draining for people–even if it doesn’t seem like it. You may not realize how much it is draining you until after you clean up and organize. Or, if you don’t feel it, you might be surprised how your child (or pet’s!) behavior changes.
