I came across this blog post on a local Seattle designer Renate Ruby’s Facebook page. I love the fact that people are catching on to the “less is more” idea. Of course, Apartment Therapy has always been great about that!
The thing that stands out in this article for me is #1: kids having less stuff. I know I harp on this a lot, but it benefits children SO much! Joshua Becker from Becoming Minimalist has one of the best lists I’ve found that here: Why Fewer Toys Will Benefit Your Kids.
Think of this as you go into tomorrow. If you had less possessions, what would you be doing differently? Would you spend more time talking with your children rather than yelling at them? Would you spend 2 minutes less bending over and straining your back to pick up toys? How would life be better?
