Favorite Products
Last week I promised you my favorite organizing products–and here they are!
I love fabric bins – specifically Closet Maid ones.
Why?
They are colorful.
You can find fabric bins in almost every color there is.
They are relatively inexpensive.
At the low end, they are around $6 per bin.  High end they can be around $20.  A bargain compared to most organizing products!
They are versatile.
They can be used in any room in the house.  The don’t work in one room?  Try them in another room!
They fit on shelves.
And not just on the ones they are marketed to fit.  They fit on lots of standard shelves, as long as they are about a foot deep.
They make clean-up easy.
No oversorting.  Dump the stuff out, scoop it back in.  Put the bin on the shelf.
Here are some solutions that I’ve used fabric bins for:

My god-daughter’s clothing storage. Clothes for children generally don’t wrinkle easily, and they shove them in the dresser drawers anyway. Why not make it easier for them to put things away with a bin system?

My living room. This is a big shelf in my main living area, where clutter discreetly lives in these bins. Extra sheets and pillowcases, little pouches that I use for storage, and cat toys!

This is all my hair stuff–ribbons, hair bands, etc. They get dumped out, they get easily put back in.

My “closet” – I live in my sunroom, so my clothes hang up, and accessories go in the bins above. A great way to use vertical space without it being TOO much.

My office–perfect for holding things like bags of extra pens, all those millions of checkbooks, my papercutter and computer accessories.
