Many of us are so accustomed to toy boxes–dump it all in, push it away. In theory it’s a good idea, but let’s face it–it encourages disorder.
Having low shelves in your home helps encourage play, which ultimately means learning. In addition to being more appealing visually, it requires less work for the child to engage. Toys are much more inviting and accessible on a shelf than they would be buried at the bottom of a toy box.
Need help organizing your child’s space? Home Key Organization is a home organizing service based out of Seattle. We do local in-person, organizing sessions. We focus on organizing in a way that is family-friendly and developmentally appropriate.
